Crescent Moon has designed the best and most innovative snowshoe binding on the market today. It’s called the ’SPL’, or single-pull-loop adjustable binding and it’s as easy to use as it sounds. The harness is made from a pliable polymer gel which integrates the footplate and harness to form an anatomically shaped wrap around your entire foot. To ensure optimal flotation and maneuverability, Crescent Moon snowshoes are balanced to distribute your body weight across the entire shoe. The design also makes it easier to pull out of the snow, so you don�t have to work as hard to walk, hike or climb. The unique tear-drop shaped platform is based on the shape of your foot � wide at the ball, narrow at the heel, promoting a natural stride. With each step, your shoes will clear away from each other within the distance of a short, narrow stride without changing the way you normally walk. The result is a much more comfortable and enjoyable snowshoe experience. Made with 6063 aircraft grade aluminum, a Crescent Moon frame is stronger than any other snowshoe frame because it is TIG welded. The decking on all Crescent Moon snowshoes is an earth friendly polyurethane material that contains no PVC � Crescent Moon calls it TGS (the good stuff). It is lightweight, durable and has very high abrasion resistance.

On the bottom of your snowshoes you’ll need ice-grabbing, teeth gnashing metal crampons to help you claw your way through the wilderness. Or city park. As you walk, you use your whole foot shifting your weight for balance and traction with each step, so we positioned our 3 crampons to dig in not only at the heel and ball but also at the toe to give you complete control on any terrain. Crescent Moon is the only snowshoe company with a toe claw, which is why the shoes walk, hike and especially climb so much better than 2 claw systems.

Crescent Moon continues to work toward reducing its environmental impact by making our snowshoes with materials that contain no PVC.
