They have excellent breathability, even when grinding up an endless set of switchbacks, and the tightly woven four-way stretch fabric with DWR (durable water repellent) finish will provide the level of protection necessary when exerting in the backcountry. Also for added comfort while on the move, the Arc'teryx Gamma LT Pant features a gusseted crotch for added mobility and a soft, chamois lined, elasticized waist to prevent chafing when hauling a heavy load to the next camp. The laminated lower hem, laminated front fly, and laminated zips on all three pockets are an Arc'teryx specialty – pioneered by Arc'teryx to further reduce bulk and enhance durability.
