great jacket Stumbled onto Altrec.com and purchased the Marmot Oracle jacket. Great jacket!!It has kept me dry in very wet conditions. I am also very please with shopping on Altrec.com. I will definetly shop here again.

Just right This jacket fits the bill for light, packable, comfortable rain/wind gear. Quality materials and construction, like all Marmot products I have purchased. I've only worn it in a light rain so far, but I was out in it most of the day and stayed dry. The zip-off hood functions well. Enough room for a fleece or softshell, but if you really want to layer up, I'd go a size bigger... or get a mountaineering shell instead. It doesn't get 5 stars until it makes through a real test on the trail.

One of the best! Picked one of these up at one of my local shops at a half off sale and it has since become one of my favorite jackets for wet weather. Its extremely light, perfectly fitted and extremely comfortable. I do a lot of storm chasing so these jackets are a god send during the bad storms. One of these with an OR hat and a nice pair of pants and your golden. You'll come home as dry as you left.
