Burton: Men's C60 Snowboard Binding

When it comes to responsive all-terrain freestyle bindings, the Burton C60 tops the chart for near-instantaneous energy transfer between your leg muscles and your snowboard edges. Anything faster would have to be synaptic--and until cyborg implants transform the snowboard scene, the C60 is the best you'll find. Because the C60 doesn't have the EST baseplate for The Channel binding interface found on some of this season's Burton snowboards, you enjoy a bit more rigidity (just a smidgen) than the Burton C60 EST binding. This additional response won't be noticeable unless you're very specific and particular about your snowboard setup. The C60 features Burton's new Cored Ultrastrap Air. It's a high-end ankle strap that was hollowed out and filled with encapsulated air padding to minimize weight and (more importantly) improve response. What we like is the comfort on the Cored Ultrastrap Air. Tighten it up if you need to feel it's there, but this is the sort of performance binding that when sized and adjusted, you can easily wear all day without enduring excess foot fatigue. The carbon Living Hinge Hi-Back is the same one found on Burton's best high-end bindings from seasons past so you can adjust your forward lean completely independent from your high-back rotation for a fit that's all your own. If performance and customization options matter most, but you're always ready to enjoy a few extra comfort features, the Burton C60 binding should be at the top of this season's shopping list.
